Meanwhile, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khatar while presiding over a meeting with representatives of insurance companies said those whose insured properties were damaged during the recent incidents in the state be provided interim relief within a week and their claims processed within 15 days from the day they apply for the same.
Finance Minister Capt Abhimanyu, who was also present in the meeting, directed the representatives of the Insurance Companies to remain in constant touch with their offices situated in Delhi so as to ensure quick disposal of claim cases falling in the National Capital Region (NCR) area so that the victims could get compensation without any inconvenience.
The Chief Minister informed in the meeting that 330 people have so far applied to the insurance companies for the claims on account of damage to their property and the claim amount is about Rs 70 crore, an official spokesman said.
At present email id compensationcellcmo.Hry@gmail.Com has been created on which people could send their complaints, if any.
Apart from this, a web portal namely 'Sanjeevani' would also be launched soon for this purpose, the spokesman said.
The representatives of insurance companies assured the Chief Minister that insurance claims received by them were being disposed of at the earliest.
