Bank of Madura has declared a net profit of Rs 45.58 crore for the year ended March 31, 2000. This is 50 per cent more than the Rs 30.13 crore achieved in the previous financial year. The net profit was achieved after making a provision of Rs 49.86 crore for non performing assets and contingencies. The board of directors have recommended a final dividend of 55 per cent (including an interim of 45 per cent).
