The government yesterday reduced the ad hoc concession on indigenous and imported di-ammonium phosphate (DAP) by Rs 250 for the current rabi season ending on March 31. Rs 3,500 would be paid for each tonne of domestic DAP while imported DAP would cost Rs 2,000 per tonne, an official statement said yesterday. The rates of concession on muriate of potash and single super phosphate would continue at the same level as in the kharif 1997 season at Rs 2,000 per tonne on MOP and Rs 1,600 per tonne on SSP. The concession on complex fertilisers would be computed on the basis of the concession of Rs 3,500 on indigenous DAP. The price of DAP would be Rs 8,300 per tonne, MOP at Rs 3,700 per tonne, the statement added.
