As many as 801 nominations were rejected during scrutiny as withdrawal of papers started today for the January 30 Punjab Assembly election.
During scrutiny yesterday, nomination papers of 801 aspirants were rejected, a spokesman of the state Election Office said.
The last date of withdrawals is January 16.
