Silver firmed again on Friday morning in Europe but laid off the week's highs as dealers shrugged off early nervousness about the volatile market and technical analysts forecast higher levels yet to come. Spot silver was last at $7.60/$7.70 versus Thursday's London close of $7.30/$7.40. Gold managed to firm a bit in association with silver, shrugging off its own gloominess to profit from the lustre of its junior partner. Gold was last at $301.20/$301.70 an ounce versus its previous London close of $296.15/$296.65. (Reuters)
