Tn Loan Conversion

The Tamil Nadu government has decided to convert all short-term agricultural co-operative loans into medium-term and all the medium-term into long-term ones. The state cabinet, which met here for over three hours yesterday, took a decision in this regard in view of floods and heavy rains in the state last month, which had led to loss of standing crops, Chief Minister M Karunanidhi said.
