Tissot T-Race
Tissot, which is part of the Swatch Group, the world's largest watch-making conglomerate, has launched the Tissot T-Race in India. Inspired by the features of the mountain bike and the high-speed motorcycle, this new watch from Tissot is being promoted as a perfect timepiece for biking enthusiasts.
Every element of Tissot T-Race is designed to evoke two-wheeled sports. The crown protection and bezel with its slanting ventilation shafts are inspired by braking discs.
The bracelet resembles a rubber tire-track. The attention to detail is evident both in the design and in the materials used; just like the frame of the top competing bicycles, the case of this watch is specially formed in the latest material, high in carbon fibre content, to ensure a combination of lightness and solidity.
The dial of the watch with its three 1/10 of second, 30-minute and 60-second counters is reminiscent of the high-speed motorbike speedometers and is encircled by a tachometer to test one's performance in the race.
Priced at Rs 15,050 and Rs 15,950, this timepiece is available in 142 outlets across the country.
