Delhi traffic police advisory amid Meri Mati Mera Desh-Amrit Kalash Yatra

The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory on Meri Mati Mera Desh-Amrit Kalash Yatra taking place at Vijay Chowk. The two-day event will take place from October 30 to October 31, 2023

The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory amid the ongoing "Meri Mati Mera Desh-Amrit Kalash Yatra" which will be organised at Vijay Chowk for two days, i.e., October 30 and 31, 2023.

The Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign pays tribute to the soldiers who made supreme sacrifice for the country. On October 31, PM Narendra Modi will address Amrit Kalash Yatris, who joined the yatra from all over the country. PM Modi will lay the foundation stone during the event of Amrit Vatika and Amrit Mahotsav Memorial.

There is a special event 'Run for Unity' which is being held on the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory closing India Gate C-Hexagon from 6.45 am to 9 am today. The Run for Unity is a part of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas which will be flagged off from Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium's gate number 1, and the race is expected to see around 7700 participants.

Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory requesting commuters to avoid taking some roads amid Meri Mati Mera Desh-Amrit Kalash Yatra. The movement on the following routes remains regulated or diverted around Vijay Chowk from 09:00 a,m. to 09:00 p.m.

For South to North and vice versa:

  • Ring Road - Saral Kale Khan-LP. Flyover - Rajghat
  • Lala Lajpat Rai Marg-Mathura Road-W-Point -A-Point
  • Aurobindo Marg - Aurobindo Chowk - Prithviraj Chowk - R/A MLNP Janpath or Rafi Marg Connaught Place New Delhi Railway Station (Chelmsford Road - Minto Road)
  • Aurobindo Marg - Kamal Ataturk Marg Kautilya Marg - Sardar Patel Marg -Mother Teresa Crescent - R/A RML and continue

For East to West and vice versa:

  • LP. Marg-A-Point - W-Point - Sikandra Road - Mandi House - Firozshah Road R/A Windsor Place - Ashok Road - Gol Dak Khana - RML - Shankar Road
  • NH-09 Ring Road - Bhairon Marg - Mathura Road SBMQ-Point Abdul Kalam Marg and continue
  • Ring Road - ISBT Kashmere Gate - Boulevard Road - Rani Jhansi Flyover and continue
  • NH-09 - Sarai Kale Khan - Barapula - AllMS-Dhaula Kuan onwards.
