Imphal, June 05 (ANI): Out of the 18 soldiers killed in the ambush in Manipur's Chandel district on June 4, only one mortal remain of a Sepoy belonging to EME corp, J K Kushwaha has been flown to his native hometown Madhya Pradesh from Imphal today. Earlier in the day, the martyr's wreath laying ceremony took place in Imphal. Rest of the bodies will be flown on June 6 from Imphal airport on a special Indian Air Force aircraft. Post-mortem is taking time as out of the 18 bodies, 8 are completely burnt beyond recognition. According to army officials, the remaining 17 bodies will be given a final farewell with a wreath laying ceremony which the Indian Army Chief is expected to take part. Manipur Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam who is also in charge of Home Portfolio said the State Government condemns the incident and will give full support to deal with the situation.
