Kia India posts best-ever monthly sales in October with 30% growth

Automaker Kia India on Saturday reported a 30 per cent rise in sales at 29,556 units in October, its best-ever monthly sales since entering the Indian market. The company had sold 22,735 units in October 2024, Kia India said in a statement. The growth was led by the Sonet, which registered its highest sale of 12,745 units. Recently launched Carens Clavis as well as Carens Clavis EV further accelerated the company's growth with a combined sales of 8,779 units, it added. The Seltos, Kia's flagship SUV, continued to witness robust demand with 7,130 units sold last month, the company said. "October 2025 marks a historic milestone in Kia India's journey...Our diverse product portfolio continues to connect strongly with evolving consumer needs," Kia India Senior Vice-President and National Head, Sales and Marketing, Atul Sood said. Kia India appoints Atul Sood as Senior vice president, sales and marketing

Kia unveils Carens Clavis; eyes 20-25% volume gain in Carens portfolio

Kia India expects 20-25 per cent volume gain in the Carens portfolio this year with the introduction of a premium version of the popular multi-purpose vehicle, according to a senior company executive. The South Korean automaker unveiled the Carens Clavis globally on Thursday. The model, which comes with premium features and three-row seat configuration, is also expected to make its way to various global markets. In an interaction with PTI, Kia India National Head Sales and Marketing Hardeep Singh Brar said the new model targets both the MPV and SUV seven-seater segments in the domestic market. "We sold about 60,000 units of Carens last year. This year, we will like to see about 20-25 per cent growth with the introduction of the Clavis," he added. The company would cater to the fleet and budget buyers with Carens and the remaining ones with the more premium Clavis, Brar said. Kia India to hike car prices by up to 3% from April to offset input costs

Kia India on Tuesday said it will hike vehicle prices up to 3 per cent from April in order to offset the impact of rising input costs. The price hike, effective from April 1, 2025, is primarily due to rising commodity prices and escalating supply chain-related costs, the automaker said in a statement. "As a brand committed to providing exceptional value and quality to our customers, we have always strived to offer the best vehicles at competitive prices," Kia India Senior Vice President (Sales and Marketing) Hardeep Singh Brar said. Kia India on Monday said it is eyeing markets in the Middle East and Africa as it aims to double the export of completely knocked down (CKD) units by 2030. To date, the automaker has exported one lakh units of CKD vehicles since it began shipments in June 2020 from its manufacturing facility at Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh. Kia India is one of the key export hubs for the South Korea-based Kia corporation, accounting for 50 per cent of the its CKD exports worldwide. In a statement, Kia India Chief Sales Officer Joonsu Cho said the automaker is grateful for the government's export-friendly policies, which have played a crucial role in strengthening country's position within the global automotive value chain. Kia India on Monday said its total wholesales increased 10 per cent year-on-year to 21,300 units in June. The automaker had dispatched 19,391 units to dealers in June 2023. Kia India also reported 1,26,137 unit sales in the first half of the year, marking a 6 per cent growth over the year-ago period. Hyundai, Kia partner with Exide Energy for EV battery localisation in India

South Korean auto majors Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Corporation on Monday announced a partnership with homegrown battery maker Exide Energy Solutions Ltd for electric vehicle battery localisation in India.
