Motorcycle maker Royal Enfield on Sunday reported a 13 per cent rise in total sales at 124,951 units in October as compared to 110,574 units in the same month last year. Domestic sales were at 116,844 units as against 101,886 units in October 2024, up 15 per cent, Royal Enfield said in a statement. Exports were, however, down 7 per cent at 8,107 units last month as compared to 8,688 units in the year-ago period, said the company, a part of Eicher Motors Group. Eicher Motors Ltd Managing Director and Royal Enfield CEO B Govindarajan said the festive spirit translated into an overwhelming response from customers across the country. "With over 2.49 lakh motorcycles sold during the festive months of September and October, our best-ever festive performance, we have achieved a milestone that speaks volumes about our momentum and the unwavering love riders have for the brand," he added.
Hero MotoCorp on Thursday said it has appointed Kausalya Nandakumar as Chief Business Officer - Emerging Mobility Business Unit, with immediate effect. In this role, Nandakumar will report to Pawan Munjal, Executive Chairman, and will be responsible for steering the strategic direction and growth of Hero MotoCorp's Emerging Mobility business - Vida -- as the company accelerates its transformation towards sustainable, future-ready mobility solutions. Nandakumar brings nearly two decades of leadership experience spanning the automotive, electric mobility, digital innovation, and social impact sectors, Hero MotoCorp said in a regulatory filing. Most recently, as Chief Operating Officer of Mahindra Electric Automobile Ltd, she led the operational readiness and go-to-market strategy for the company's electric SUV business valued at USD 9.8 billion, it added. Motorcycle maker Royal Enfield on Monday reported an 18 per cent growth in total sales at 73,136 units in April 2023 compared to 62,155 units in the same month last year. Domestic sales grew 28 per cent to 68,881 units from 53,852 units in the year-ago month, the company said in a statement. Exports, however, declined by 49 per cent last month to 4,255 units compared to 8,303 months in April 2022. Royal Enfield CEO B Govindarajan said the company has begun FY24 on a confident footing after closing FY23 on a high note. The company has recently launched its Hunter 350 and the Scram 411 models in the USA and Latin American markets, he said, adding "I am sure that these motorcycles will continue to perform well and strengthen our foothold in these markets".
Motorcycle maker Royal Enfield on Sunday reported a 7 per cent decline in total sales at 68,400 units in December 2022. The company had sold 73,739 units a year ago, Royal Enfield said in a statement. Domestic sales were down 8 per cent last month to 59,821 units compared to 65,187 units in December 2021. Exports were almost flat at 8,579 units against 8,552 units in the year-ago period, the company said.
Motorcycle maker Royal Enfield on Thursday reported a 53 per cent increase in total sales at 70,112 units in August, 2022. The company had sold 45,860 units in the same month last year, Royal Enfield said in a statement. Domestic sales were at 62,236 units as against 38,572 units in August 2021, registering a growth of 61 per cent, it added. Exports grew by 8.1 per cent at 7,876 units last month as compared to 7,288 units in the year-ago period, the company said. Royal Enfield CEO B Govindarajan said the company witnessed incremental volumes following the launch of its new bike Hunter 350 early last month and sales of the model will start across several international markets in the coming months.
