BigFix partners IT firms to address Indian market

BigFix, a provider of enterprise systems and security management solutions, is adopting a partner-driven strategy to penetrate further into the Indian market, where the company already has 70 customers.
The San Francisco-based company has partnered Indian IT services firms including HCL Comnet, Paladion and Wipro Infotech to deliver its solutions across the region, BigFix top officials said here.
"India is an extremely exciting market for us right now on many levels. We see in India a unique combination of a customer base ready to use our products and services to maximum effectiveness," said George Billman, BigFix Vice President for Business Development.
According to the company, HCL Comnet will function as a global managed services partner, where as Paladion will concentrate on managed security services. The other partner, Wipro Infotech, will focus on managed services opportunities in the Gulf, Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia.
Some of BigFix's customer in India include National Stock Exchange, Perot Systems and South East Central Railways. The company aims to focus on key sectors in India including BFSI, IT/ITeS, pharmaceuticals and manufacturing industry for its future growth.
