The Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Fapcci) on Wednesday announced nomination entries for the 'Fapcci Excellence Awards -2011' for 2010-11.
“Nominations are invited for 21 excellence awards to be given to micro, small, medium and large industries, scientists and physically challenged professionals and women entrepreneurs from the state,” VS Raju, president of Fapcci, said.
Fapcci has instituted the excellence awards to foster and enhance excellence in industry and commerce, and encourage them to pay special attention to achieve excellence in important national, economic and social areas. The awards are given to commercial organisations, and eminent personalities who have made outstanding contribution to the state.
For each category, a minimum three entries are required. The last date for nominations is December 15. For the selection process, the committee takes into account three years of performance record, he added.
“Last year, under the excellence in turnaround and sick industries categories, we did not receive enough nominations. So, this year we are hopeful to get more entries. We expect around 150 nominations under the 21 categories,” he said.
