Gujarat NRE Coke Q1 net doubles to Rs 39 cr

Net profit in the first quarter of Gujarat NRE Coke has increased 93% at Rs 38.66 crore as against Rs 20.04 crore in the previous corresponding quarter.

The total income for the quarter ended June 30, 2011 stood at Rs 436.15 crore, company sources said.

Commenting on the performance, the company chairman and managing director Arun Kr Jagatramka said, "We have started the year on a positive note and expect to further improve the same as the Indian industrial demand picks up post monsoon."
