Levi Strauss Signature, the jeanswear brand for youth from San Fransisco-based Levi Strauss and Company, one of the largest branded apparel companies in the world, has aggressive plans for expansion in the North-East market in the coming days.
The company plans to open at least 14 new stand-alone Levi Strauss Signature stores in the region this year.
“North-East is of particular interest to us. The region accounts for 25 per cent of our eastern region’s business,” said ATP Ramani, business head of Levi Strauss Signature.
Though Ramani did not disclose any figures, he said that the company was aiming almost 100 per cent growth in the region this year. Countrywide, the business of Levi Strauss Signature has doubled in the last two years. From 100 stand-alone stores in 2008, the company had 190 stores in 2009.
