Infosys, India’s second largest information technology services company, on Friday said the allegations of retaliation raised by Satya Dev Tripuraneni, a former employee of the company, were baseless. In a statement, the Bangalore-headquartered company said investigation into his allegations found no evidence of retaliation.

“Infosys has completed its comprehensive investigation into Tripuraneni’s allegations of retaliation. We can unequivocally state that there is absolutely no evidence of any sort of retaliation against or directed at Tripuraneni,” the company said in a statement.

“This investigation has confirmed that his claims are completely unfounded,” it added.

In a lawsuit filed in a Federal Court in California on August 2, Tripuraneni had alleged after he blew whistle on the violation of the business visa programme by the company, he was harassed and forced to quit.

In the lawsuit, the plaintiff had also alleged after he filed the whistle blower complaint, “an anonymous individual made a telephone call” to his home and “threatened” his family.

Another lawsuit filed by an Infosys staffer in the US will come up for trial on August 20.
