Anil Ambani group firm Reliance Power today said it will invest Rs 30,000 crore on its Hydro Projects in Arunachal Pradesh and that its coal-based power projects in Sasan and Krishnapatnam are on track.
"The company will produce 100 million tonnes of coal every year and invest Rs 30,000 crore on its hydro projects in Arunachal Pradesh," Reliance Power (R-power) CEO J P Chalasani said in the company's annual general meeting (AGM) held here.
Speaking about the ultra mega power projects (UMPPs), Chalasani added that the Sasan and Krishnapatnam UMPPs are on track and that orders have been placed for coal mining equipment for the Sasan coal mines.
The company's CEO in his speech to shareholders said, the renewable portfolio of the company will comprise 600 MW solar and 400 MW wind projects, besides commissioning the entire portfolio of 35,000 MW by 2017.
The power major has already received the land, fuel, water and environment clearance for the entire coal-based capacity.
