Samsung eyes 40% share in mid to high-end smartphone mkt by year end

Leans on revamped Galaxy A-Series; current market share is upwards of 25 per cent in the Rs 20,000-45,000 segment

South Korean smartphone major, Samsung, is eyeing a 40 per cent market share in India in the mid to high-end segment by the end of 2022 with the launch of a revamped Galaxy A-Series.

Raju Pullan, Senior Vice President, Mobile Business, Samsung India, said, “Our target is by the end of this year, we should be at a 40 per cent market share with the launch of the largest number of 5G phones across the segment.”
