West Bengal gets a new 24-hr movie music channel

Channel has characters like Jagai, Madhai and Pappi Da whose antics and spoofs will have audiences in splits

Royal Raj Media Pvt Ltd and Launch Pad have come together to launch Bengali movie music channel Music F-Fatafati. The channel 24 hour channel that features the latest Bengali movie music had a soft launch recently.

Apart from a contemporary packaging, Music F-Fatafati will also have animations and cartoon shorts in short format programming between shows. The channel has characters like Jagai, Madhai and Pappi Da whose antics and spoofs will have the audiences in splits.

Royal Raj has partnered with Launch Pad, for the conceptualization, creation and management of the channel for the next three years. Launch Pad is a first of its kind BoT (Build-Operate-Transfer) model in the broadcasting space. Launch Pad is looking at launching many more regional music channels in the future. The company has successfully launched Bhojpuri music channel Hummra M last year in a similar deal.

Probal Gaanguly, director, Launch Pad said, “West Bengal is a growing market for advertisers, broadcasters and media planners. We are confident that Music F-Fatafati will offer a new dimension to the untapped music entertainment space which we think has not been explored to its fullest. We are confident that with a rich Bengali music library and clutter breaking content on the channel, we will be able engage viewers and also offer advertisers an effective platform to reach their TG."

Siddharth Misra, MD, Royal Raj Media, said, “We are pleased to tie up with Launch Pad for the launch of Music F-Fatafati and offer the latest in Bangla music to our audiences. With a strategic tie up with Eskay films we hope to deliver a fantastic product. In the short first week, the channel having caught the eye of the audiences; we are confident that Music F-Fatafati will soon be the final word in Bengali music.”

Vikas Varma, director, Launch Pad, said “After the successful launch of various TV channels like 9XM etc., Music F-Fatafati has been very close to my heart. In the past 5-6 years, Bengali music and movies have achieved world class standards. I believe this channel will change the way viewers consume music. This is my gift to all the Bangla music lovers.”

Music F-Fatafati is available on all cable TV platforms in west Bengal.
