Contribution to Tamil Nadu CM relief fund crosses Rs 195 cr

TCS, Sundaram Fasteners, Apollo Hospitals, IOC, CPCL today made contribution to the fund

A total sum of Rs 195.43 crore has so far been contributed to the Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund (CMPRF) for the state government's rain relief efforts.

Today Tata Consultancy Services CEO and MD N Chandrasekaran handed over Rs 10 crore to Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.

Executive Chairperson of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd Dr Preetha Reddy, and Sundaram Fasteners CMD Suresh Krishna have handed over Rs 3 crore each.

The New India Assurance Co CMD G Srinivasan handed over Rs 3 crore, while IOCL and CPCL have contributed a total sum of Rs 4.77 crore including a day's salary of their employees.

 

AIADMK parliamentarians, including Deputy Speaker of the Lok Sabha M Thambidurai, handed over their one month's salary of Rs 24.50 lakh.

Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker P Dhanapal and senior ministers, including O Panneerselvam and AIADMK MLAs contributed Rs 75.36 lakh towards the fund, it said.
