Govt appoints M Ajit Kumar as chairman of CBIC ahead of Budget

The government on Thursday appointed M Ajit Kumar as chairman of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs. The 

appointment comes just two days before the Union Budget presentation. "The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment," said an official release.
