The Patna High Court yesterday said there was no state government worth the name and Jungle Raj prevailed in Bihar. There is no government worth the name in Bihar as a handful of corrupt bureaucrats run the administration, a division bench consisting of Justice V P Singh and Justice Dharampal Sinha observed on a contempt petition filed by social activist Krishna Sahay on poor civic conditions in the state capital for several years.
It is worse than the Jungle Raj and there is no regard to court directions and public interest, the judges observed, expressing concern over the civic amenities in Patna.
The several civic heads and others responsible deserve to be sent to jail and several civic agencies in general and Biswas Board in particular deserve to be wound up immediately, the court said.
