NEWSALERT: PM calls for complete overhaul of PDS

Stating that the worst is over as far as food inflation is concerned, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh assured that food prices would be stabilised soon.

He also said that the food distribution system is hopelessly outdated and needs complete overhaul, and warned hoarders of strict action under Essential Commodities Act.
