UP govt removes Pandey

Vijay Shankar Pandey, the UP Principal Secretary (Information), was shunted out by the state government late on Saturday, following reports of his alleged links with Pune stud farm owner Hasan Ali Khan. “The UP government and the Chief Minister’s office have nothing to do with Khan and if there is any proof of the allegations against Pandey, then he has to respond in his individual capacity,” Cabinet Secretary Shashank Shekhar Singh told reporters. “Keeping in view the seriousness of the issue, Pandey is being removed from the post,” he said.
