'K.G.F: Chapter 2' continues regional movie trend, is a hit on day one

First-day total domestic collection pegged at Rs 110 crore at least. Hindi-version collection at Rs 40 crore, say experts

Films made in south India are the flavour of the season, with the second installment of the K.G.F franchise likely to shatter records the day it was released. The movie hit theatres on Thursday in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. 

Initial estimates by multiplex industry sources suggest that the film starring a mix of Bollywood and southern stars is likely to see total domestic box-office collections of Rs 110 crore to Rs 120 crore on day one, making it the second regional film to have a strong opening within a month.
