Delay in Developing Gas Discoveries

The Minister of State (I/C) for Petroleum & Natural Gas Shri Dharamendra Pradhan informed the Lok Sabha in a written reply that the Government has set up a three member inquiry committee for inquiring into the matter of delay in developing gas discoveries in KG-D5 (KG-DWN-98/2) block. The inquiry committee comprises with the following member:

1. Director General, Directorate General of Hydrocarbon;

2. Advisor, Internal Finance Division, MoP&NG; and

3. Deputy Secretary (Exploration I), MO&NG

Inquiry committee is likely to submit its report within two months from the date of the 1st meeting of the committee held on 24th October, 2014.
