The Indian School of Business is set to commence the first academic session at its Mohali campus from April 14. The intake in the campus, on the city outskirts, for this year would be 210 students.
Savita Mahajan, chief executive, Mohali Campus, said despite initial constrains leading to a delay in construction , ISB would be starting their Mohali campus from April 14 this year as stated earlier.
The PGP Class of 2013 will have a total class size of 770 students. Out of this, 210 students will be at the Mohali campus. The first phase of Mohali campus has been created with a total outlay of Rs 250 crores. In the next three years, an additional investment of Rs 100 crore is envisaged as the Mohali campus expands. ISB Mohali campus also plans to increase the total number of seats (MBA) from 210 at present to 1,000.
Max Institute of Healthcare Management, Munjal Global Manufacturing Institute, Bharti Institute of Public Policy and Punj Lloyd Institute of Physical Infrastructure Management are the four specialised centre’s that have been added to ISB campus in Mohali.
While admissions for specialization in Max Institute of Healthcare Management and Munjal Global Manufacturing Institute, would start from April 12 itself, the other two institutes would be enrolling students from next year.
Mahajan said the campus would have spin off effect on the industries in state as well , as industries could be benefited from interactions with the global faculty which would be coming to the campus.
Analjit singh , Chairman, Mohali Campus Advisory Board maintained he personally believed the Mohali campus would tag faster and higher than Hyderabad campus .
The ISB will function as one unified entity with a seamless integration across two campuses – Hyderabad and Mohali. To encourage cross-learning and increase networking across the campuses, there would be an inter-campus exchange programme.
The Mohali campus will also have support from Kellogg School of Management and the London School of Business.
