Chana rises 0.8% on higher spot demand

Restricted arrivals and fears of crop damage in Madhya Pradesh capped the gains

Chana futures for April rose by Rs 29, or 0.81% to Rs 3,596 per quintal in 62,640 lots.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, the May contract traded higher by Rs 29, or 0.8%, to Rs 3,645 per quintal in 14,130 lots.

Traders enlarging their holdings on good demand in the spot market suported the trade.

Restricted arrivals and fears of crop damage in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan due to frost capped the gains.
