Sensex flat; Wipro, M&M firm

The Sensex erased all its gains and slipped into red to a low of 9,014. The index is now flat at 9,022 - up seven points. Earlier in the day, the index had touched a high of 9,112 in opening trades.

Wipro has surged 3.3% to Rs 216, and Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has rallied over 3% to Rs 294.

Grasim has gained 2.5% at Rs 1,374. HDFC has gained 2% at Rs 1,391.

Maruti has moved up 1.8% to Rs 628. Ranbaxy is up over 1% at Rs 207.

Hindustan Unilever has plunged over 2% to Rs 248. Hindalco has dropped 1.5% to Rs 41.

 

ICICI Bank and Larsen & Toubro are down 1% each at Rs 365 and Rs 648, respectively.
