Volatile continues, Infosys gains 3%

The Nifty is up 40 points at 3,937.

Wipro has zoomed 5.6% to Rs 439, and Satyam has soared 4% to Rs 450.

Reliance Communications and Mahindra & Mahindra have rallied 3.3% each to Rs 409 and Rs 454, respectively.

Infosys and BHEL have gained 2.7% each at Rs 1,758 and Rs 1,392, respectively. Hindalco has added 2.5% to Rs 137.

HDFC Bank, SBI, ONGC and Larsen & Toubro are up around 2% each at Rs 986, Rs 1,045, Rs 805 and Rs 2,181, respectively.

ACC and Tata Motors have tumbled nearly 3% each to Rs 491 and Rs 397, respectively.

 

Reliance Infrastructure, ITC and Grasim have dropped around 2.5% each to Rs 684, Rs 179 and Rs 1,713, respectively.

Jaiprakash Associates has declined 1.7% to Rs 133. HDFC is down over 1% at Rs 1,815.

Out of 2,603 stocks traded so far, 1,844 have declined, 702 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
