Wipro retraces after hitting 52-week high

The scrip finally settled 1.5% lower at Rs 725. The counter clocked volumes of 3.76 shares on the BSE.

Wipro has slipped after touching a 52-week high of Rs 753 in morning trades. The stock is now trading at Rs 727, weaker by Rs 10 or 1.4%, on the BSE.

The information technology company had reported a 21.3% rise in Q3 consolidated net profit to Rs 1,217.40 crore for the quarter ended December 2009 against Rs 1,003.90 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Among the other IT heavyweights, Infosys is trading higher by 0.2% at Rs 2644 and TCS has shed 0.7% at Rs 775.
