Determined Nadal vows to regain old rhythm

World number five Rafael Nadal has insisted that he is working hard to get back to his old rhythm after suffering his worst season in a decade in the 2015 season.

The 14-time Grand Slam champion, who had slumped to 10th in rankings earlier this year before his late-season resurgence, said that although he didn't have the best season possible, it was not a disaster as he climbed back to fifth in the rankings.

The Spaniard insisted that he was working hard to create opportunities to compete for the best tournaments next year, Sport24 reported.

Nadal saw a late resurgence in his form as he defeated the likes of Andy Murray, David Ferrer and Stan Wawrinka in the group stages of the ATP World Tour Finals before losing to world number one Novak Djokovic in the semi-finals.

Nadal is currently playing in the International Premier Tennis League, which is a speeded-up version of the game.
