Curfew continued to be in force in Kishtwar town of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday due to prevailing tension in the wake of last week's communal clashes.
Educational institutions have been shut across the state and mobile internet services blocked after clashes took a turn for the worse on Sunday.
Apart from Kishtwar, seven other districts are under curfew, including Jammu and Rajouri, following acts of arson and violence.
Army personnel continue to patrol key areas to maintain law and order.
State Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has ordered a judicial probe into the clashes that have claimed the lives of three persons so far.

Meanwhile in New Delhi, the opposition is likely to raise and discuss the violence in Jammu in Parliament, and question the state government on allowing it to go on unchecked for hours.
The BJP, in particular, is likely to target Jammu and Kashmir Home Minister Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo, and directly hold him responsible for fomenting the violence.
Chief Minister Abdullah has criticised the BJP for the attempting to politicise the incidents of violence in Kishtwar.
He has issued an appeal to the people not to let political parties exploit their sentiments.
