Kazakh defence team interacts with India Inc. at DEFEXPO-2018

A defence delegation of Kazakhstan, led by Vice-Minister Timur Shaymergenov, took part in the recently held "DEFEXPO-2018" in Chennai and held meetings with representatives of Indian defence companies and officials of Indian Ministry of Defence.

The visiting delegation, as per a Embassy of Kazakhstan release, was informed and acquainted with modern models of arms and military equipment on show at the exhibition.

Meetings were held with Zen Technologies Ltd., Bharat Electronics Ltd., Larsen &Toubro Defence, Brahmos, Kalyani, Tata, Mahindra and MKU.

Issues of participation of these companies as exhibitors in the forthcoming "KADEX-2018" in Astana were also discussed.

The Kazakh delegation also met Chief of Army Staff General Bipin Rawat at a reception hosted by the event organisers. He separately noted the progress in the implementation of cooperation between India and Kazakhstan within the peacekeeping framework.
