When new Wimbledon champion Andy Murray enjoyed a family moment in his box after his historic victory, the first thing he said to his mother Judy was 'Hi mum', new reports have indicated.

According to the Mirror, Andy hugged his mother Judy only after being congratulated by his coach and other key members of his team following the straight sets victory over Novak Djokovic last Sunday.

However, Andy's mother said she did not need a hug and was only thinking of the win itself, adding that everyone around her was shouting for Murray to attend to her, with everyone in the crowd wanting to see that sight, the report said.

Judy is currently the captain of the British Fed Cup team and is coaching the British junior girls, the report added.
