Nadal romps into 11th French Open quarters

Fourteen-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal displayed a commanding performance as he thrashed his fellow countryman Roberto Bautista Agut of Spain in straight sets to book his place in the quarter-finals of the French Open here on Sunday.
The fourth-seed, who is bidding for a 10th French Open title, posted a comfortable a 6-1, 6-2, 6-2 victory against countryman and 17th seed Bautista Agut in a one-sided last-16 clash that lasted one hour and 50 minutes.
Meanwhile, Bautista Agut was trying to reach the last eight at a Grand Slam for the first time.
With the win, Nadal marched into the quarter-finals for the 11th time, thus joining 18-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer at the top of the chart for most Roland Garros last-eight showings in the Open Era.
Nadal will now lock horns against either Milos Raonic or Pablo Carreno Busta for a place in the last-four.
