Oscar Fernandes gets additional charge of labour ministry

Union Minister Oscar Fernandes was given the additional charge of Ministry of Labour and Employment following the death of Sis Ram Ola.

President Pranab Mukherjee, as advised by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, has directed that Oscar Fernandes, shall be given additional charge of the work of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, a Rashtrapati Bhavan communique said.

Fernandes already holds the post of Road Transport and Highways Minister.

Sis Ram Ola died at a Gurgaon hospital on Sunday morning after a prolonged illness. He was 86.
