Parliament Monsoon Session concludes with discussions on cow vigilantism, agrarian crisis

The Monsoon Session of the Parliament concluded on Friday with issues like lynching incidents and cow vigilantism, the Kashmir situation and the agrarian crisis in the country, among other issues, being discussed in both the Houses of the Parliament.

The session, also witnessed debates on other key issues like the fallout of the GST, the flood situation in India and the matters relating to external affairs.

A special discussion was held to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Quit-India Movement.

As many as 17 bills were introduced in the Lok Sabha, out of which only nine were passed by the Rajya Sabha. The Lok Sabha recorded a productivity of 77.94 per cent and the Rajya Sabha recorded a productivity of 79.95 per cent.

 

All the parties came together during the presidential and vice-presidential elections, during which Ram Nath Kovind was elected as the President and M. Venkaiah Naidu was elected as the Vice-President.
