Manchester City football team manager Manuel Pellegrini has claimed that one never wins the title in December, as the Chilean is in a relaxed mood for Christmas with his side trailing current Premier League leaders Chelsea by three points.
Second-placed City, who have 39 points from 17 matches, will start the holiday fixture schedule with a trip to West Bromwich Albion on Friday before hosting Burnley and Sunderland in quick succession.
Having won six successive league matches, City closed the gap on Chelsea but Pellegrini does not think the next few weeks would define the champions' season, Sport24 reported.
Pellegrini said that they are not thinking about Chelsea, adding that they are just thinking about their team. He said that they know it is important to have their own pressure, adding that one never wins the title in December.
Pellegrini further said that they have a long five months to continue playing as well as they are doing so far and added that City would see at the end of the season which team has most points.
