Former Bihar Chief Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief's wife Rabri Devi on Tuesday rubbished reports that senior RJD leader Ram Kripal Yadav quitting the party in a huf would have an advrerse effect on her party.

"Ram Kripal Yadav's exit from the party (RJD) will not have any bearing at all. RJD is a party which has a solid base and it is set to go way ahead in the coming days. We cannot control someone who chooses to leave the party and join some other organization. It is quite natural that during elections political leaders change party colours." Rabri Devi said.

On Monday, Ram Kripal had announced that he would contest from Patliputra against Lalu Prasad's daughter Misa Bharti. He had, however, not mentioned whether he would contest as an independent or as another party's candidate.

Earlier, Ram Kripal had revolted after Lalu Prasad decided to field his elder daughter Misa Bharti from Patliputra seat as the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) nominee.
