U.S. agrees to curtail drone strikes as Pakistan seeks peace talks with Taliban

The Obama administration is curtailing drone strikes in Pakistan as the Asian country is pursuing peace talks with the Taliban.
The move from the United States comes after Pakistan requested the West to stop the drone strikes to pursue peace talks.
However, the administration indicated it would still carry out strikes against senior al-Qaeda targets, the Washington Post reports.
According to the report, the Obama administration has worked to improve relations with Nawaz Sharif, who took office last June.
