Trident is a British sports car brand that produces cars that deliver incredible speed and performance combined with outstanding fuel efficiency, achieved through torque multiplication technology. The brand has recently announced the global availability of its flagship Iceni sports car, which is the worlds fastest and most fuel efficient diesel sports car. The claimed top speed is in excess of 304 kmph and it possesses the ability to run for 3,208 kilometres on a single tank of mineral or bio-diesel. The Iceni uses torque multiplication technology to achieve this unique combination of speed, power and fuel efficiency.
The engine powering the Iceni is a 6.6 litre V8 unit that pumps out 395bhp of maximum power. Peak torque is a mammoth 950Nm, which allows this car to be propelled to 100kmph from a standstill in 3.7 seconds. Trident will sell an optional Performance pack that boosts the power to 430bhp and the peak torque is increased to 1288Nm. If for some reason customers feel the need for more performance, there is a Track pack which increases the power generation figure to 660bhp and the peak torque now generated is 1420Nm!
Trident has introduced two new models to the Iceni range, the Iceni Magna (fastback) and Iceni Venturer (estate). All three models boast the same specifications, each with its own distinctive design. In addition, the cars can store a minimum of two suitcases, as well as two holdalls, making a 3,200 kilometre road trip a reality.
