Auto shares ease
Auto stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE Auto index falling 52.13 points or 0.29% at 18143.13 at 13:49 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Auto index, Exide Industries Ltd (down 4.67%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd (down 4.56%),Balkrishna Industries Ltd (down 2.42%),Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (down 2.15%),Bosch Ltd (down 1.94%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd (down 1.6%), Eicher Motors Ltd (down 0.06%), and Bajaj Auto Ltd (down 0%).
On the other hand, Tata Motors Ltd (up 7.3%), Apollo Tyres Ltd (up 2.07%), and TVS Motor Company Ltd (up 1.54%) moved up.
At 13:49 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 148.2 or 0.36% at 40937.58.
The Nifty 50 index was up 41.9 points or 0.35% at 12021.55.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 70.56 points or 0.49% at 14616.07.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 31.58 points or 0.63% at 5060.12.
On BSE,1195 shares were trading in green, 1099 were trading in red and 184 were unchanged.
