Capital Goods shares slide
Capital Goods stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE Capital Goods index falling 77.9 points or 0.46% at 16941.77 at 16:00 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Capital Goods index, NBCC (India) Ltd (down 3.42%), Graphite India Ltd (down 1.88%),Bharat Electronics Ltd (down 1.77%),Thermax Ltd (down 1.34%),Larsen & Toubro Ltd (down 1.1%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were AIA Engineering Ltd (down 1.01%), Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd (down 0.9%), SKF India Ltd (down 0.39%), Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (down 0.2%), and Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (down 0.1%).
On the other hand, Sadbhav Engineering Ltd (up 3.41%), HEG Ltd (up 2.58%), and Siemens Ltd (up 2.42%) moved up.
At 16:00 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 263.86 or 0.71% at 37332.79.
The Nifty 50 index was up 74.95 points or 0.68% at 11023.25.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 104.2 points or 0.84% at 12534.7.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 44.74 points or 1.06% at 4250.87.
On BSE,1412 shares were trading in green, 1121 were trading in red and 170 were unchanged.
