Healthcare stocks edge higher

Healthcare stocks were trading in green, with the S&P BSE Healthcare index increasing 61.21 points or 0.49% at 12622.08 at 09:49 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Healthcare index, Jubilant Life Sciences Ltd (up 3.49%), Bliss GVS Pharma Ltd (up 2.55%),Cipla Ltd (up 2.09%),Nectar Lifescience Ltd (up 2.05%),Aurobindo Pharma Ltd (up 1.84%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Dishman Carbogen Amcis Ltd (up 1.62%), Indraprastha Medical Corporation Ltd (up 1.37%), IOL Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd (up 1.27%), Shilpa Medicare Ltd (up 1.26%), and Panacea Biotec Ltd (up 1.25%).

On the other hand, Gufic BioSciences Ltd (down 2.63%), Medicamen Biotech Ltd (down 1.56%), and Natco Pharma Ltd (down 1.18%) turned lower.

 

At 09:49 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 72.83 or 0.19% at 37568.44.

The Nifty 50 index was down 9.55 points or 0.09% at 11095.8.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 15.59 points or 0.12% at 12604.37.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 4.36 points or 0.1% at 4252.66.

On BSE,801 shares were trading in green, 643 were trading in red and 88 were unchanged.
