Hindalco Industries Ltd gained 4.72% today to trade at Rs 236.1. The S&P BSE Metal index is up 2.97% to quote at 12183.41. The index is down 6.8 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, Jindal Steel & Power Ltd increased 4.58% and Vedanta Ltd added 3.83% on the day. The S&P BSE Metal index went down 10.81 % over last one year compared to the 10.8% surge in benchmark SENSEX.
Hindalco Industries Ltd has lost 1.77% over last one month compared to 6.8% fall in S&P BSE Metal index and 3.91% rise in the SENSEX. On the BSE, 62033 shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 5.46 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 283.95 on 05 Jan 2018. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 192.5 on 23 Jul 2018.
