Information Technology stocks spurt

Information Technology stocks were trading in green, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index increasing 273.53 points or 1.74% at 16033.98 at 09:48 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, 3i Infotech Ltd (up 4.18%), Infosys Ltd (up 3.96%),Trigyn Technologies Ltd (up 2.73%),TVS Electronics Ltd (up 2.52%),63 Moons Technologies Ltd (up 2.48%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Birlasoft Ltd (up 2.47%), Cigniti Technologies Ltd (up 2.27%), Ramco Systems Ltd (up 2.24%), Cerebra Integrated Technologies Ltd (up 2.13%), and NIIT Technologies Ltd (up 2.01%).

On the other hand, CESC Ventures Ltd (down 1.18%), Subex Ltd (down 0.95%), and Kellton Tech Solutions Ltd (down 0.93%) turned lower.

 

At 09:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 240.59 or 0.58% at 41840.31.

The Nifty 50 index was up 67.5 points or 0.55% at 12324.3.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 91.11 points or 0.64% at 14238.75.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 25.82 points or 0.53% at 4892.17.

On BSE,1148 shares were trading in green, 382 were trading in red and 79 were unchanged.
