Quick Wrap: Nifty Pharma Index records a surge of 4.10%, NIFTY climbs 2.11%

Nifty Pharma index ended up 4.10% at 9456.8 today. The index has added 3.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Aurobindo Pharma Ltd jumped 6.82%, Dr Reddys Laboratories Ltd added 5.69% and Cipla Ltd gained 4.32%. The Nifty Pharma index has increased 11.00% over last one year compared to the 22.57% fall in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Financial Services index increased 3.08% and Nifty Media index gained 2.41% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 recorded a gain of 2.11% to close at 9066.55 while the SENSEX witnessed a rise of 2.06% to close at 30818.61 today.
