Quick Wrap: Nifty Private Bank Index registers a drop of 2.05%

Nifty Private Bank index closed down 2.05% at 13785.05 today. The index has lost 4.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Yes Bank Ltd fell 8.90%, Axis Bank Ltd dropped 4.16% and IndusInd Bank Ltd shed 3.04%. The Nifty Private Bank index has increased 1.00% over last one year compared to the 3.03% fall in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty IT index has slid 1.93% and Nifty Bank index has dropped 1.60% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has slid 0.94% to close at 10030 while the SENSEX has declined 1.01% to close at 33349.31 today.
