Quick Wrap: Nifty Realty Index falls 6.17%, NIFTY Crashes 1.62%

Nifty Realty index closed down 6.17% at 242.6 today. The index has slipped 12.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, DLF Ltd dropped 15.82%, Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd slipped 5.75% and Oberoi Realty Ltd shed 5.47%. The Nifty Realty index has fallen 11.00% over last one year compared to the 7.17% slide in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty PSU Bank index has dropped 3.77% and Nifty Metal index has dropped 3.49% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has slid 1.62% to close at 10741.35 while the SENSEX has slid 1.59% to close at 36472.93 today.
